Amy Jade Winehouse was born on 14th of September, 1983 to Jewish
parents in Southgate, London, England, Amy has an older brother
called Alex.
Amy Winehouse attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School from the
age of 12 through to 14, when she was told to leave the school
for a piercing in her nose and for not being committed to the
training.
Her first album "Frank" was released in Britain in
2003 and received good reviews from critics and the public. She
won several awards for her debut album and grew a reputation in
the United Kingdom, but was still relatively unknown outside of
her country.
Her second album "Back to Black" was released in 2006
and gained critical success, along with an established reputation

talent.
